so i’m supposed to go pick up dancer sunday.
she’s being leased to a girl until then at a horse show, who has been trying for months to buy her, but she’s been rejected a billion times.
the woman who owns dancer right now has an assistant, apparently a fucking dumb one, who sold her MY horse without her permission or anything!
okay. granted this is a private treaty and i probably shouldn’t be posting it all over the interwebs but that shit is fucked up. FUCKED UP.
whatever i mean nothing was signed and she still has her papers so….i think an “im sorry im a total fuckhead here’s your money back” should do.

operation bring dancer home, commence.
i am busting my ass to find my mare. im on my third lead trying to track her down. here’s the story, for those of you that don’t know.
dancer was my assignment this fall at findlay. in short, she’s my soulmate horse-that one that i’ll never have another like in my life, the most incredible thing on four legs.
she was taken away, sent to kentucky on an indefinite lease, supposed to come back in january, never did.
so i went through the paperwork and talked to some people, if i track her down i think i can get her back-permanently. but i need about $5,000 to make it happen including the purchase price (which idk how much it could be) and trailering cost, so i set up a donation paypal. what i dont make myself working and in donations, i’m going to be taking out a personal loan to get her back with me.

i haven’t been posting because im working all the time and dont have internet at my apartment, so when i have a few minutes i sit like a lameass at caribou by myself.

but i miss dancer a lot, i looked through her file today and got all of her background info, like where she went on lease, her registered name, saw her jockey club papers, etc. i can’t wait for her to come back, hopefully it’s soon :/ also i got to sign her ‘waiting list’, like a list of names on a first come first serve basis, if you’re interested in taking the horse when it becomes available for sale or retirement. i’m the only one on it. ha.

and the best news of all….i get to take her with me when i graduate! so excited. better start saving now…but she’s worth it, she’s the love of my equine life.
and she’ll pop out a baby or two for me as well, eventually. sooooo excited. abby and i are going to be running a zoo. but it’s okay. we’ll manage somehow.

this horse is the best thing to ever happen to me here at school, i swear it.
we had a clinic today with david wright, and she surpassed every expectation i had. i was going to drop out of the clinic because i just lost my 4 year old dog very suddenly, and i didn’t think i would be able to handle it…but i’m really glad i pushed myself to try and i’m even happier with how good of a team the two of us are. she’s the best.
one of the girls in my class keeps telling me how good of a job we’re doing together, that she’s never seen this horse go nicer for anyone, and all the work i’ve been doing with her is really paying off. it means a lot to me.
